Colin Soares - President/CEO

    Mr. Soares is a professional engineer with over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry. He was the founder and VP Business Development of Dragonheart Energy Inc. as well as the president and founder of Rocor Resources Inc., a privately owned exploration company which was sold to Petrobank in 2008. Mr. Soares has a history of identifying strategic opportunities and increasing value through optimization of horizontal drilling and completions. Mr. Soares received his BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1978.

Roger Bethell - VP Exploration, Director

    Mr. Bethell is a consulting geologist with over 40 years of experience in Alberta and Saskatchewan, including with VP Exploration of Rocor Resources Inc Mr. Bethell has also worked as a geological consultant on a number of international projects which include offshore Vietnam, Kazakhstan, the Delta Project in Nigeria.

Michael Black - Director

    Mr. Black is the senior energy partner, based in Calgary, in the office of the international law firm of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. He has extensive oil and gas experience, both domestically and internationally, in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors. He has provided lead counsel advice to numerous domestic and international companies. Mr. Black is an experienced director on several energy companies, including public TSX companies. In 2007, he received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Lawrence Walter - Director

    Mr. Walter is a professional accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and a CMA designation from the Alberta Society of Certified Management Accountants. Mr. Walter has 28 years of Canadian petroleum industry experience with extensive executive experience in both private and public junior oil and natural gas companies. Mr. Walter provides experience in corporate planning, budgeting and financial reporting to the High North Board of Directors. Mr. Walter is currently the President and Director of Eastend Energy Corp. and Long Term Asset Management Inc., both gas focused E&P companies in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Mr. Walter has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for several public E&P companies including Belfast Petroleum/Merit Energy (1997 - 2000), ValVista Energy (2000 - 2005) and RedStar Oil & Gas (2005--2007).

Kyle Stevenson - Director

    Previous Chief Financial Officer of High North; Owner and President of Stevenson & Associates IR, a full-service investor relations firm specializing in raising money and marketing for early stage companies (since April 2007); Currently the President/CEO of Seaway Energy Services Ltd. and a director of Letho Resources Corp. both natural resource issuer's trading on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Gabe Ollivier - Director

    Mr. Ollivier brings a wealth of expertise to the Company's board of directors in the areas of economics, finance, and strategic planning. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Equus Energy Advisors Inc., an energy consulting practice based in Calgary, Alberta. He is also the former President and Chief Executive Officer of UNX Energy Corp., which was sold in 2011. Prior to these roles, he spent nine years in the Canadian brokerage industry, most recently as a Managing Partner and Institutional Equity Salesman at Paradigm Capital Inc., and also as a Partner and Institutional Equity Salesman at Cormark Securities Inc. Mr. Ollivier's primary focus at these dealers was on the development and growth of their presence in the energy and energy services business. Mr. Ollivier started his career 23 years ago in Calgary's energy industry in various intermediate and ultimately senior economic, planning, and financial roles with Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd., Crestar Energy Inc., and Murphy Oil Company Ltd. He holds a Masters degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, both from The University of Calgary, and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Mr. Ollivier joins the Company as an Independent Director.

Jamie Carlson - Director

    Mr. Carlson has over 20 years of broad-based oil and gas development, operations and management expertise. Mr. Carlson's experience includes production engineering and operations, business development, project management and asset evaluation. Mr. Carlson has played a key role in developing several assets from inception to later stage development with resulting values of several million to over a billion dollars. Mr. Carlson is a professional engineer and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Canadian Heavy Oil Association, the Canadian Society of Unconventional Resources and Cogen Canada.
